Waste Is Segregated at the Source

We aim at a cleaner and healthier Arnavutköy by implementing recycling projects for more efficient use of resources.

6 September 2022, Tuesday

With the recycling projects initiated by the Environmental Protection and Control Directorate of Arnavutköy Municipality, we are systematically and regularly working to leave a clean environment to future generations. We are recycling plastics, metals, glass, paper, batteries, home textile products and waste oils and contribute to the economy along with supporting natural life.

Giving information about the Project Zero Waste, Arnavutköy Mayor Ahmet Haşim Baltacı said, "plastic, metal, plantal and paper wastes are collected by Mobile Waste Collection Centers and recycled in collection centers after segregation. We help deliver clothes, shoes and home textile products collected in Used Clothes and Textile Containers to people in need. In addition, we contribute to reintroducing waste batteries and glasses to the national economy with Waste Glass and Batter Collection Containers placed in different parts of Arnavutköy. The Zero Waste project aims to reduce the amount of solid waste, save raw materials, use resources more efficiently, increase energy efficiency, slow down global warming and reduce environmental pollution. Showing sensitivity to recycling and the environment in every field is much needed for our old world."
